SUBJECT: ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR AQUATIC MAINTENANCE SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval of an annual contract for aquatic
maintenance services from CK Pools for the Parks and Recreation
Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Parks & Recreation) for an
annual amount not to exceed $40,000.
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to establish fixed annual pricing for
swimming pool maintenance services for City aquatic facilities and
fountains on an as-needed basis operated by the Parks and Recreation
Department. CK Pools will assist with sanitization needs to comply with
maintaining public health standards and provide scheduled cleaning of
pools and fountains. These services include vacuuming of pool walls and
floors, scrubbing and brushing, removing debris, emptying skimmer
baskets, and complete any normal repair issues that might arise.
Three quotes were submitted as noted below. CK Pools submitted the
lowest quote meeting specifications. This contract is for one-year with four
one-year optional renewals. If approved this will be the second renewal
option.
CK Pools $37,728.00
Mustang Pool Service $64,500.00
Sunbelt Pools $72,000.00
Staff recommends approval.
