This letter confirms on February 5, 2026 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA26-04 for the property addressed 422 South Dooley Street, legally described
as Block 33, lot 7& E 35'8, City of Grapevine to the Grapevine Historic Preservation
Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended, for the
following:
1. Replace the existing fence with a 6'-0" tall cedar fence.
2. Install a wood garage door with windows and paint black.
3. Install wood and glass exterior doors at the rear of the house where noted on the
drawings.
4. Install cedar corbels on the porch.
as per the attached plan, specifications and photos with the condition the existing
wood fence along and perpendicular to E. Franklin St. is removed and a permit is
obtained from the Building Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is',/ is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.

home at 422 S. Dooley St. My thoughts and requests:
1. Cedar fence. Please provide a site plan or survey of your property showing where the fence will be
located and at what heights.
2. Your submission includes 2 different types of doors, please clarify where each will be installed.
3. Regarding the wood bracket, is this for the front porch? If so, we recommend the first design (from
Architectural Depot) since that is appropriate to the Arts & Crafts style of your home.
