SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT SERVICE CENTER PERIMETER
FENCING
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the purchase of replacement
perimeter fencing for the Service Center from Superior Concrete Products
for the Public Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Uility Enterprise Fund in an amount not to
exceed $17,339.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for services to repair/replace a section of Service Center
perimeter fencing damaged during emergency 20-inch water main repair
that occurred in December.
This purchase will be made as a sole source purchase from Superior
Concrete Products in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter
252, Subchapter B, §252.022. General Exemptions (a)(7)(A). Items that
are available from only one source because of patents, copyrights or
secret processes.
Staff recommends approval.
