This letter confirms on March 3, 2026 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA26-17 for the property addressed 404 East Wall Street, legally described as
Block 38, lot 2A, G. E. Hurst Subdivision, City of Grapevine to the Grapevine Historic
Preservation Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended,
for the following:
1. Install 304 feet of six -foot -tall western red cedar fence, board on board with cap &
trim with kick board to be stained medium brown, with one single, 4 'wide x 6' high
gate and one double 10' wide x 6' high gate to be stained cedar tone;
2. Between the house the barn, install 24' of four -foot -tall western red cedar picket
fence, board on board, cap & trim with kick board and one single gate 4'wide x 4'
high, to be stained in cedar tone;
as per the attached plans, photo and specifications with the condition a permit be
obtained from the Building Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
