SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT FOR ON -CALL ENGINEERING
CONSULTING SERVICES CONTRACT
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the contract for an on -call engineering consulting
service for the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, water and
wastewater system, and water supply with Plummer Associates, Inc. for
the Public Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Utility Enterprise Fund in an estimated amount
of $50,000.
BACKGROUND: The Public Works Department occasionally needs technical support from
an engineering firm that specializes in water and wastewater treatment
plants and water and wastewater systems. Plummer will provide
evaluations of operational or performance issues at the plants and review
and analyze water and wastewater system data. In addition, since
Plummer manages our lake level accounting plan, they have an
understanding of our water rights and can provide consultation related to
our water rights and water storage issues.
Plummer has worked with staff with excellent results on prior projects.
Staff recommends approval.
