resubmittal. Any changes that occur in the civil document review process must be
updated in this drawing set and be approved by Planning Services per CU2025-32.
3. Pool/Spa, Signs, Fences, and Irrigation by separate permit and plan submittal.
Trades (i.e. Interior Design & Food Services) require a separate permit and pay their
own fees.

8. Sheet GO.05 -Revise Prefunction (RM#110) occupant load factor to 1/7 NET overall
& 1/15 NET in seating areas.
2!�s�n Team Response: The seating area in the Prefunction space has been
recalculated at the requested 1/15 NET occupancy load. The space surrounding
the seating area is considered circulation space for egress, therefore it has no
occupancy load. Egress in this area has been recalculated accordingly.
*j. Sheet GO.05, GO.06, & GO.08 - Provide the occupant load of the Event Lawn for
egress reference purposes.

broken out in the egress plans. Egress calculations have been updated
accordingly.

14. Sheet MO.00 - All condensate drain lines shall be routed to the sanitary sewer
through an indirect waste connection.

15. Sheet M9.01, M9.02, & M9.03 - Provide signed & sealed engineered designs for
hood system.

included in the mechanical package for reference only. Removed from sheet set."
16. Sheet P2.02A, P2.02B, P2.06, P401, & P5,02 - Route all condensate discharge to
the sanitary sewer through an indirect waste connection.

discharge indirectly to sanitary. Refer to view 5 on Sheets P2.0113, P5.01 ant!
P5.02. Condensate on Level 6 routes down to Level I indirectly to sanitary."

0 All additions and alterations must comply with the 2021 International Fire
Code (IFC) and locally adopted amendments.
Design Team Response: Noted. No addition or alteration scope in this project. This
project is named "VIN Expansion", however this is new construction; not an addition.

o Items that can self -ignite (e.g., oily rags) must be stored in approved disposal
containers.
o Temporary wiring during construction, alterations, or demolition must comply
with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code).
• Hydrants must be located along fire lanes, spaced no more than 300 ft apart.
• FDCs must be within 100 feet of a hydrant, on the same side of the fire lane if
possible, and clearly labeled with the area served.
• Ensure a 150-foot hose lay requirement for all building sections.
• Fire lanes and water supplies (hydrants) must be operational before vertical
construction above the foundation begins.
Design Team Response: Kimley-Horn — "Fire hydrants will be operational before
vertical construction. Fire lane, hydrants and FDC meet all requirements noted, see
sheet SP-1 of Hotel in Reserve construction drawings for verification."
6. Fire Extinguisher Requirements
* Fire extinguishers must be installed so travel distance does not exceed 75 ft.
* Mount extinguishers along paths of egress per NFPA 10.
* Minimum rating: 2AAOBC,
Design Team Response: Fire extinguishers are located to comply. Refer to egress
plans for locations.
7. Fire Sprinkler System
• All sprinkler work must be completed by a state -licensed contractor.
• Submit sprinkler plans to a Fire Department -approved third -party reviewer.
Design Team Response: Noted. CM to provide fire sprinkler drawings for permit.
8. Fire Alarm System
• Fire alarm plans to be reviewed by a Fire Department -approved third -party
reviewer.
• Acceptance testing must be completed prior to occupancy.
Design Team Response: Noted. Refer to fire protection plans included in the permit
set. CM to provide fire alarm drawings for permit.
9. Knox Box Access
* Knox products required for building and gate access.
* Provide keys/key cards for all building access points in Knox Boxes.
c, Use Knox padlocks for construction gates.
* Install exterior Knox Boxes at the main building entrance and riser room.
* Automatic gates must include Knox control switch with manual override.
* Install Knox Boxes at eye level (5-6 feet) and confirm locations with the Fire
Marshal,

0 Knox caps required for all FDCs.
Design Team Response: Noted. CM to coordinate locations & scope with Fire
Marshal.
IO.Access Control Requirements (if applicable)
* Access control systems must allow free egress at all times.
* Must comply with 2021 IFC and NFPA 101.
* Egress doors with electronic locks must unlock on fire alarm or sprinkler
activation, or during power loss.
* Manual release devices must be labeled and mounted 40-48 inches above
the floor, within 5 feet of the door.
* Submit third -party -reviewed plans from an approved engineering firm.
* A Permit for Access Control is required before installation.
Design Team Response: Door openings in path of egress apply with all of the
above.
11. Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (if applicable)
o Knox Remote Power Boxes required, located 30-50 feet from charging
stations in clear sight.

12. Fire Lane Requirements
• Minimum vertical clearance: 14 feet.
• Fire lanes must be concrete and support 85,000 pounds.
• Turning radii: 30 feet inside, 50 feet outside.
• Fire lanes must be in place before vertical construction begins.
Design Team Response: Kimley-Horn - "Fire lane meets all requirements noted, see
sheet SP-1 of Hotel VIN Reserve construction drawings for verification."
13. Emergency Radio Coverage
• Provide full two-way radio coverage for all floors, corridors, stairwells, public
areas, and roof.
• Submit design documentation showing coverage and required
equipment(boosters/DAS).
• Testing must demonstrate compliance and be approved by the Fire
Department prior to occupancy.
Design Team Response: Henderson - "This system to be provided by the Low
Voltage vendor."
