FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER
MEETING DATE: APRIL 7, 2026
SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF FLOW METERS FOR DOOLEY
AND FOXFIRE LIFT STATIONS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval of the purchase of flow meters for
Dooley and Foxfire lift stations from Myron D. Matterson for the Public
Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Utility Enterprise Fund for an amount not to
exceed $21,617.
BACKGROUND: This is for the purchase of two flow meters for Dooley and Foxfire lift
stations. These meters allow the ability to check the quantity of flow
coming from the lift stations which pump sanitary sewer uphill to our
collection system. They also provide indications of pump reliability as well
as actual inflow of wastewater into the lift stations.
Informal quotes were taken in accordance with the City Purchasing Policy.
Formal bids and advertisements are not required for purchases under
$100,000. Three quotes were submitted as noted below. Myron D
Matterson submitted the lowest quote meeting specifications.
Myron D Matterson $21,617
Frank Clark & Associates, Inc. $21,766
Team One Integrations, LLC $31,997
Staff recommends approval.
