SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF REPAIR SERVICES FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT
OF RAW WATER MOTOR PUMP
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the purchase of repair services for
the Water Treatment Plant raw water motor pump from Brandon & Clark
Inc. for the Public Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Utility Enterprise Fund for a total amount not to
exceed $28,419.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for Brandon & Clark Inc. to repair a 200hp motor for the
Water Treatment Plant high service pump. This is one of the pumps that
are used to deliver treated water to the distribution system. The motor has
failed due to normal use.
This procurement will be made as a sole source from Brandon & Clark
Inc. in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 252, Subchapter
B, § 252.022. General Exemptions (a)(7)(A).
