CONSTRUCTION

brought to the attention of SUNGOAST POSTENSION prior to start of construction.
4. All final grading shall w done using sand or a non -capillary material.
5. Site grading and drainage around the foundation shall he maintained at all times in such a
manner that surface or ground water will not collect under or adjacent to the slab
Contractor is responsible to advise homeowner of proper foundation mainteriance.
Moisture content should be kept consistent and proper drainage away from slab is
required.
6. Trenches for deep plumbing lines should not be located directly under beams
T If plastic sieave is damaged and the strand is exposed for more than 6 in,, it ShOUld be
repaired to prevent bonding of concrete to tendon -12" exposed at dead end is acceptable
8. Concrete must be well consolidated around all anchors to avoid bearing failures at
stressing.
9. Admixtures should not contain any chernicals in quantity that may have harmful effecT on
the prestressing steel or cement. Chlorides, sulphites and nitrates should not be used,
10. Stressing pockets should be grouted within 7 days of the finai stressing oepration to
prevent corrosion of the anchor and wedge asser
poly.
DESIGN
1. The post tension of this foundation structure has been evaluated using acceptable
engineering practice in accordance with the latest recommendations as set forth by the
Post Tensioning Institute in their publication Design and Construction of Post Tensioned
Slabs on Ground, First Edition, 1980.

4 S'uancls st be tiet,, at all intersec$ions starting at fixed end anchors working toward live
