This letter confirms on June 23, 2026 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA26-45 for the property addressed 428 East Wall Street, legally described
as Lot 6R, G. E. Hurst Subdivision, City of Grapevine to the Grapevine Historic
Preservation Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as
amended, for the following-
1. Install a new 20 feet x 12 feet swimming pool with water feature and concrete
decking;
2. Construct a new open-air pergola in the yard, between the house and the existing
garage covered porch; pergola to be constructed of cedar posts, beams, joists and
open framework; posts to be painted white and all open framework to be stained to
match the existing stained wood on the house;
as per the attached site plan, plans and renderings with the conditions a permit be
obtained from the Building Services Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit ,, s / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
