SUBJECT: DART LICENSE FEE PAYMENT FOR WATER AND WASTEWATER
CROSSINGS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval of the payment of annual license fees to
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) for water and wastewater crossings.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Utility Enterprise Fund in the estimated amount
of$16,351
BACKGROUND: The City of Grapevine has several existing water and wastewater lines
that cross under DART rail lines. DART charges an annual license fee to
allow use of the railroad right of way. Staff has previously processed these
payments administratively. The payments now exceed staff authority and
require council consideration. The specific locations are noted below.
