SUBJECT: RENEWAL FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider renewal of contract for the Health and Wellness
Program with Personify Health.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General Fund (Risk) in the annual estimated
amount of$35,000.
BACKGROUND: The City of Grapevine provides a comprehensive wellness program for
employees and their spouses enrolled in the City' s health insurance. This
service is administered by Personify Health which provides a web-based
solution that connects employees through individual and team-based
challenges to drive healthy habits and lifestyle improvements. Personify
Health
provides real-time reporting on engagement and aggregate reports in
areas where employees may need education. Based on the most recent
report, we currently have 78% of the eligible population enrolled with an
average of 64% engaged on the platform. The annual cost also includes a
subscription to Noom for healthy weight loss solutions.
Personify is used to track employee wellness credits for the medical
premium discount. This discount is designed to ensure employees
enrolled in our self-funded health insurance are receiving preventive
screenings that can save money for them, and the plan, on high-cost
health claims. This renewal is for a three-year contract.
