Also present was City Council Liaison Sharron Rogers, and the following City Staff: Kaitlen Cerney Erica Marohnic Albert Triplett Lindsay Flores Mona Hassan Attorney, Boyle & Lowry Director, Planning Services Planner II Planner I Planning Technician CALL TO ORDER: 5:45 P.M. — Planning and Zoning Conference Room Chairman Sheppard called the Briefing Session of the Board of Zoning Adjustment to order at approximately 5:45 P.M. BRIEFING SESSION 1. Roll Call. a. The Chair called roll. 2. Discussion and direction on meeting procedures, specifically referring audience questions to staff during a public hearing and public testimony when such questions fall outside the purview of the Board of Zoning Adjustment. 05.04.26 mm 1 Agenda Item # 7 Erica Marohnic briefed the Board on the procedure to refer project -specific questions from meeting attendees to staff. 3. Board of Zoning Adjustment to conduct a briefing session to discuss items scheduled to be heard at the May 4, 2026, public hearing. Lindsay Flores briefed the Board on the case listed on their regular meeting agenda and took questions. ADJOURNMENT OF BRIEFING SESSION With no further discussion, Sheppard moved to adjourn the Briefing Session. The Briefing Session was adjourned at approximately 5:54 P.M. Public Hearing 4. Call to Order — Sheppard called the meeting to order at 6:15 P.M. 5. Pledge of Allegiance — U.S. Flag The Chairman administered the oath to all individuals who addressed the Board during the public hearing, prior to their testimony. CITIZEN COMMENTS 6. No citizens requested to speak. OLD BUSINESS None. NEW BUSINESS 7. Board of Zoning Adjustment to conduct a public hearing relative to Board of Zoning Adjustment case BZA26-08 submitted by Pedro Pena for property located at 2921 Mesa Verde Trail and consideration of the same. Lindsay Flores presented the proposed plan and answered questions from the Board. Applicant Pedro Pena of 668 Fossil Wood Drive, Fort Worth, 'TX 76179, presented and answered questions from the Board. Anderson moved to approve BZA application BZA26-08. Muras seconded the motion, which prevailed by the following vote: 05.04.26 mm 2 Agenda Item # 7 Ayes: Sheppard, Muras, Anderson, Townsend Nays: None Approved: 4-0 8. Consider the minutes of the April 6, 2026, Board of Zoning Adjustment meeting. Muras moved to approve the April 6, 2026, minutes for the briefing session and public hearing. Townsend seconded the motion, which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Sheppard, Muras, Anderson, Townsend Nays: None Approved: 4-0 ADJOURNMENT With no further business to discuss, Townsend moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:22 P.M.
