Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Senior Citizen Advisory Board
under Citizen Comments or on any other agenda item by completing a Citizen Appearance Request
form with the staff. A member of the public may address the Senior Citizen Advisory Board
regarding an item on the agenda either before or during the Board’s consideration of the item, upon
being recognized by the Chairman or upon the consent of the Senior Citizen Advisory Board in
accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Senior Citizen Advisory Board is restricted in
discussing or taking action during Citizen Comments.

The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Senior Citizens Advisory Board met April 7,
2026 at 1:00 p.m. in The REC of Grapevine, 1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, Texas
with the following members present:

Constituting a quorum with the following members of City staff:

Claire Gilbert, Marketing Manager
Ric Clark called the meeting to order at 1:07 pm and Carey Miller provided the
invocation.

A motion was made to approve January 6, 2026, minutes.

Presentations and Updates:
Arianna Such provided an update on the recent Wall Farrar Nature Trail Planting that
took place with the coordination of Happy to Help on Saturday, March 28.
Claire Gilbert provided an update on the partnership with GoGrapevine.com and Pivo as
we work towards requirements for website accessibility
Miscellaneous:
Duff O'Dell provided an update from City Council. She shared the Sunbelt Rental will be
having a ribbon cutting on April 17. The Women's Division would be hosting the Great
Taste of Grapevine on April 29. The Mayor's Jubilee will be celebrated throughout Main
Street Fest May 15-17. She also shared that they was a City Council meeting on April 8
and citizens are always welcome to attend.
Gena Bohl provided an update from GRACE. April 17 is their Volunteer Appreciation
event. Bags and Bingo is scheduled for May 2. At the end of March, they assisted 76
households and 88 individual seniors.
Teri Rhodes Cantu provided an update from the Grapevine Housing Authority.
Chris Smith provided an update from Grapevine Parks and Recreation. Chris shared
that Clark Contractors was the selected CMAR for the REC expansion. There is a plant
sale scheduled for Saturday, April 11 from 9am — 1 pm at the Grapevine Botanical
Gardens.
Trent Kelley provided an additional update from Grapevine Parks and Recreation. Trent
shared that Opening Day was a success. Minnow Loop updates will be safer and serve
the area better. Membership Appreciation Day is Monday, April 13. He also shared that
the Intentional Pollinator Program is currently being developed.
