Joetta King-GHA -Spring cookout for Housing Authority residents will be on Friday,May 15 from 11 am-2pm. 1 -There have been a few concerns with the security lights, but problems are being fixed by the installer. -The applications for the waiting lists for both housing programs will be on March 11 from 9am-4pm. Section 8 FMR's (The Fair Market Rent is the most GHA can pay a landlord but it also depends on the comparability of the assisted property to other unassisted properties in the area. If unassisted properties rents are below the FMR, then we can't pay the FMR for the assisted property.) 0 bedroom $590 1 bedroom $690 but HUD allowed us to adopt$759 (110%above FMR) 2 bedroom $893 but HUD allowed us to adopt$982 same reason as above. 3 bedroom $1198 4 bedroom $1426 -We only needed to adopt the higher FMR for 1 and 2 bedrooms. We wouldn't have been able to house people with the lower FMR. -The HERO program the City has provided in the past for low income families will no longer be available for The REC. Is the following correct: (Trent mentioned that HERO program is still available to the members that qualify).
