be available. Also reserved Active Adult parking spots are being considered.)
4. New Business
a. Duff O'Dell-City Council
-Main concerns revolve around the recent flooding issue. There is a lot of
work involved recovering from a natural disaster. There is a loss of revenue
with the closure of the Vineyards Campground, lake parks and the canceled
1
softball season. Fire,police, animal control,public works,parks and
recreation are all extremely busy.
-A question was asked about a possible Kubota Tractor facility in Grapevine.
It looks imminent.
b. Karen Rice-Housing Authority
-Public Housing sidewalks are being repaired and dumpster pads enlarged.
Once the pads are enlarged, fences will be installed around them as a visual
screen. Showers are being replaced on W. Worth Street, but project will not
be completed until the 2015 funds are released which should be soon.
-The Grapevine Public Housing was recently evaluated and had a PHAS score
of 99 which designates us as a High Performer which means less reporting
and oversight by HUD.
-The waiting list was opened on March 11 and received 279 new applicants
for the Public Housing list raising the total number of applicants on the
waiting list to 410. 253 applicants applied for Section 8 raising the total
