The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met July 21, 2016 at 6:00
p.m. in The REC of Grapevine Main Classroom, 1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, Texas
with the following members present, to -wit:

With the following members absent:

Becky St. John (GCISD)
Constituting a quorum with the following members of the City Staff:

The meeting was called to order at 6:07 p.m.
A moment of silence was observed.

Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by John Dalri to approve the June
16, 2016 minutes. Motion passed 6-0.
Ayes — Ray Harris, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Krystyna Plut, Debra Tridico, and Christian
Ross.
Nays— None
Absent — Roy Robertson, Larry Francis, and Dave Buhr.
New Business
Pacheco Koch, along with City staff, gave a presentation on the concept and design
plan for the proposed Bear Creek Dog Park.

PARD Informational Items (No Action Taken)
Chris Smith reported on the following:
Youth sports, adults sports leagues, lake parks
Kathy Nelson reported on the following Capital Projects:
SH 114 landscape enhancements between William D. Tate and Main Street, Wall Farrar
Nature Trail, and the construction of the greenhouse at the Botanical Gardens.
Miscellaneous Board Items (No action taken)
Keep Grapevine Beautiful (KGVB) — Dave Buhr was not present.
GCISD Report — Becky St. John reported on the following:
The bonds are to sell and proceeds to go into the bank within 30 days from the
approved bond election. The first item on the project list will be at Cannon Elementary.
There will possibly be a switch in the GCISD Liaison for Parks & Recreation Advisory
Board next meeting. August 22 is the first day of school for GCISD.
High School Report — None.
Adjourn
Motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Terry Musar to adjourn the
meeting at 7:35 p.m. Motion passed 6-0.

Ross.
Nays— None
