The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met March 16, 2017 at 6:00
p.m. in The REC of Grapevine Administrative Conference Room, 1175 Municipal Way,
Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to -wit:

Constituting a quorum with the following members of the City staff:

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
A moment of silence was observed.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Krystyna Plut and seconded by John Dalri to approve the
February 16, 2017 minutes. Motion passed 8-0.
Ayes — Ray Harris, Roy Robertson, Larry Francis, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Krystyna
Plut, Debra Tridico, and Christian Ross.
Nays— None
Absent — Dave Buhr

There were no citizen comments.
New Business
Consider approval of the following renewal Adopt -An -Area agreement:
• Tipton Family for Park Boulevard from Dove Road to Pritchard Drive
A motion was made by Debra Tridico and seconded by Terry Musar to approve the
renewal Adopt -An -Area agreement. Motion passed 8-0.
Ayes — Ray Harris, Roy Robertson, Larry Francis, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Krystyna
Plut, Debra Tridico, and Christian Ross.
Nays— None
Absent — Dave Buhr
Presentation
Kevin Mitchell gave a presentation over the Cotton Belt Trail extension/Dallas Road
pedestrian corridor.
Kevin Mitchell gave a presentation over capital projects that are in the pipeline. These
items included the dog park, SH114 landscape enhancements, Wall Farrar Trail,
Denton Creek Park, The Vineyards Campground, Meadowmere Park improvements,
and the new public artwork.
PARD Informational Items (No Action Taken)
Athletics, Chris Smith reported on the following:
Fieldhouse USA grand opening, Roger Williams park bench dedication at Dove Park,
GBS opening day ceremony, pickleball tournament, and YTD baseball tournaments.
Capital Projects, Kevin Mitchell reported on this information during the presentation.
Lake Parks/Events, Chris Smith reported on the following:
RV Show at the Vineyards Campground.
Parks Maintenance, Kevin Mitchell reported on the following:
Staff is working on various park projects.
Recreation, Chris Smith reported on the following:
Wettest Egg Hunt at The REC.
Volunteerism, Chris Smith reported on the following:
Don't mess with Texas® Trash -Off and staff participating in the Household Hazardous
Waste event.

Adjourn
Motion was made by Larry Francis and seconded by John Dalri to adjourn the meeting
at 6:41 p.m. Motion passed 8-0.
