SPECIFICATIONS — POOL IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO FOUNDATION
The excavation for the new pool, approximately 7.0 feet deep excavation, may be
constructed no closer than 3.5 feet from the existing residential slab -on -grade
foundation using the following procedure and limitations:
Excavate to pool depth specified below grade, plus gunite shell thickness. Avoid over -
excavation and remove all loose material from the excavation prior to placing reinforcing
steel and gunite.
Do not undermine nearby foundations, patio slabs and retaining walls with the pool
excavation. Excavations within 1 to 1 slope measured from the bottom of the nearby
structural foundations or slabs shall not be left unprotected for more than 2 weeks.
The contractor shall be responsible for construction means, methods, techniques,
sequence and procedures. The contractor is also responsible for site safety and
personal protection during the project construction.
