SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR SAFETY AND LOSS CONTROL CONTRACT WITH
COMMERCIAL RISK SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider a safety and loss control contract with
Commercial Risk Services.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the General fund and Utility Enterprise fund in the
amount of $54,000.
BACKGROUND: The City of Grapevine has contracted with Commercial Risk Services
since 2017. The City of Grapevine's safety program is instrumental in
keeping safety a top priority. Our safety consultant comes every month
and conducts a safety meeting with various departments. The rate did not
change from the prior year.
Staff has reviewed the contract and has determined Commercial Risk
Services will provide the best pricing and service for meeting the safety
needs of the City. This will be a one-year contract with a continuation
option until either party provides written notice of termination.
Staff recommends approval.
