SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF FENCING REPLACEMENT AND REPAIRS AT MINTERS
CHAPEL AND FOXFIRE LIFT STATIONS
RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider approval for the purchase of fencing replacement
and repairs at Minters Chapel and Foxfire Lift Stations from Ware Fencing
LLC for the Public Works Department.
FUNDING SOURCE: Funds are available in the Utility Enterprise fund for a total amount not to
exceed $17,050.
BACKGROUND: This purchase is for fencing replacement and repairs at Minters Chapel
and Foxfire Lift Stations. Both fences were damaged by falling trees.
This purchase will be made in accordance with an existing interlocal
agreement with the Region VIII Education Service Center known as The
Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) in Texas as allowed by Texas Local
Government Code, Chapter 271 and Texas Government Code, Chapter
791.
Bids were taken by the cooperative and contracts were awarded to Harold
Beck and Sons, Inc. The Public Works and Purchasing staff reviewed the
contract for departmental specification compliance and pricing and
determined that the contract would provide the best product and pricing to
meet the needs of the City.
Staff recommends approval
