In reference to drawings submitted on July 9 2015 for the pergola please provide required information in
response to following comments.
Comments:
Building permit application shows you are adding 250 sq.ft area with this permit. Clarify that 14'x 18' gazebo is
the new structure you want to add with this permit (252 sq.ft) and 14' x 14' pergola is existing and not a part of
this permit. Engineered dawning shows Pergola is new. If pergola and gazebo both are new construction,
correct permit application for new addition 448 sq.ft area.
Engineered drawing shows 2 x 8 cedar beam attached to stud wall through veneer, cedar beam/ boards shall
not be attached through veneer material.
Elevation A shows pergola attached to existing house roof overhang, engineered drawing shows it will be
attached to existing house wall. Provide correct elevation drawing.
Provide framing plan showing all beams and ceiling/ rafters detail on it.
Provide footing detail for the columns. Columns shall have footings unless the columns do not support live and
dead loads in excess of 750 loads and concrete slab not less than 3.5 inches thick and minimum 3000 psi
concrete.
