O:\ZCU\2017\CU17-08\CU17-08.1.d0C 4 CU17-08 BRICKS AND MINIFIGS APRIL 27, 2017 2030 WEST GLADE, 216 & 220 Conditional use request CU17-08 is a request to amend the previously approved site plan of CU11-18 (Ord. 2011-18) for a planned commercial center, specifically to allow retail sales of second hand goods in a lease space in excess of 3,000 square feet. Fire Department — Assistant Fire Marshal Bryan Parker Provide additional information about the products stored on site. Question 1 of 1: Approximately how many pounds of LEGOO product do you expect to house within the perimeter of the store? Answer: I expect to house between 2,000 to 4,000 pounds of LEGOO product within the perimeter of the Bricks & Minifigs store. The Bricks & Minifigs franchise is a LEGOO-themed resale store that carries various LEGO sets and individual pieces and accessories. LEGOs are known as a plastic brick item that enables creative play for children and adults of all ages. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, often abbreviated ABS, is the plastic used in most modern LEGO elements. Its chemical formula is (C8H8),,• (C4H6)y • (C3H3N)z, and it has melting point at about 105 °C. Since 1963, Lego pieces have been manufactured from a strong, resilient plastic known as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). ABS is a thermoplastic consisting of a styrene monomer with the addition of an acrylonitrile momomer and a butadiene monomer. The Bricks & Minifigs store will stock shelves with both current -run and retired new -in -box sets that are sold in standard cardboard boxes. Other individual LEGOO pieces and accessories will be sold as single items or in bulk and will be carried out of the store in either plastic tubs, glossy plastic merchandise bags, plastic clamshell cases, or in plastic container balls. The storage bags are an inexpensive flexible rectangular shape, usually mainly transparent, made of polyethylene or similar plastic, which can be sealed and opened many times. Polyethylene (PE) - the term polyethylene describes a huge family of resins obtained by polymerizing ethylene gas, H2C=CH2, and it is by far the largest volume commercial polymer.
