BACKGROUND INFORMATION At Council's December 21, 2010 and January 18, 2011 meetings, an amendment to the signage package for the Grapevine Mills Mall for the Legoland and Sea Life concepts was approved and both concepts are now in operation. With this request the applicant proposes an additional entertainment feature as part of the Legoland Discovery Center experience whereby children will drive a small battery powered vehicle though a dedicated course which weaves though a variety of features that are both interior and exterior to the mall. This new activity will require two controlled openings in the exterior wall of the mall to allow access to the outside portion of the course as well as a dedicated outdoor area associated with the driving experience. A TV news reporter is on the scene with the Police announcing that crooks have stolen the gold from the local bank and have made their way into the forest. Police are asking for volunteers to join the local Forest Rangers to track down the stolen gold and help capture the crooks. Scene 2: LEGO City Police Station Briefing Room You have enlisted to join in the hunt of the crooks and to help search for the stolen gold, the Police have asked to go to the Police station to have your mission brief and to have your picture taken for your official Rangers Badge. In the briefing room you are shown pictures of the known crooks and the stolen gold. They introduce you to your patrol vehicle which is a pimped up jeep. Your mission is to find the stolen gold and to hunt down and apprehend the crooks that are at large in the forest so that the Police can put them in jail. Scene 3: LEGO City Forest Bridge You have boarded your Patrol Jeep and have set off into the Forest. On your way into the forest you cross the river that divides the city. The bridge that links the City to the forest is rather old and rickety, there are warning signs telling you have to stay within the tracks otherwise the bridge might collapse. As you cross the bridge slowly is groans and creeks. Scene 4: LEGO City Forest Ranger Patrol HQ As you make your way into the forest you pass the Ranger's HQ where a helicopter is on standby awaiting your command of the location of the crooks. The Ranger's wave you on your journey and wish you luck! Scene 5: LEGO City Crooks — Tree hide out You follow the established dirt track road into the forest where the undergrowth becomes heavier and heavier, you spot what looks like the crooks trying to hide up a tree. One is standing on the shoulders trying to climb up the tree, hold on they are not running from you but a big grizzly beer who thinks they are after his honey. In the tree the crooks are not aware of the buzzing bees nest. You hear in the background of the radio a helicopter taking off and a search light appear from over head. Scene 6: LEGO City Crooks — abandoned lodge hide out On you approach to the lodge, there seems to be a fire started by accident, you call for back up from the fire brigade, a fire truck rushes to the scene, but where are the crooks, oh look they stolen a boat and tried to make their get away but they crashed into a big rock and have fallen into the water and some of the gold has fallen out as they made their hastily escape. Scene 7: LEGO City Crooks — abandoned mine Wow you are doing a great job in finding the missing crooks but you haven't found much of the stolen gold yet, oh wait there seems to be a trail of gold. Quick jump on that trail and see where it takes you. As you follow the trail of stolen gold it appears that it leads you to an abandoned mine. As you follow the trail of gold it takes you into the dark abandoned mine, your headlights on your jeep pick up 3 scared crooks, they seemed to be scared of the dark. Scene 8: LEGO City Crooks — Tree hide out As you jeep speeds down the dirt track you see two crooks trying to make a dash for it, as you sound your siren they stop dead in their tracks holding up their hands. `It's a fair cop Guv" they say. Scene 9: LEGO City Forest Ranger HQ — Capture of Crooks On your way back to the Police Station in the city you pass all the crooks hand cuffed and being put into the Police wagon. Scene 10: LEGO City Police Station — Crooks line up On your return to the City Police Station you come back to a standing ovation and applause. You see the crooks that you help capture along with the stolen gold in the Police line up, where you have your hero's picture taken for the reporter's news paper. The chef of Police hands you your Junior Ranger license an award for all your efforts in making LEGO City a safe place again. Well done!
