GRAPEVINE SENIOR CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD
(hre June 7, 2002
The Grapevine Senior Citizens Advisory Board met on June 7, 2002 at the Grapevine
Senior Activities Center.
The following members were present:
Dr. Edith Pewitt—Chair
Miriam Bahner - Secretary
Doris Waite
Others Present:
Clydene Johnson
Karla Turner
Debra Wells
Edith introduced and welcomed everyone to the meeting.
The minutes of the previous meeting were considered and approved.
Final plans for the Senior Fair to be held July 13th were discussed.
Edith will bring the flower arrangement for the refreshment table.
Tables for registration and literature will be set up in the foyer of the Lancaster
Theater.
Phone numbers for the organizations were checked and Paul was called to verify
the use of his home phone number for the Historical Society.
The decorations and table cloths are to be red, white and blue. Karla will check
that we have enough.
Edith will check with Elspeth to have a podium, piano, microphone, stage and
coffee urns.
We should provide enough food for 200 people. Edith will bake 200 muffins.
The center will provide fruit trays, roll ups, danish,juice and coffee. Paper plates,
cups and flatware will also be provided.
Clydene Johnson agreed to be Mistress of Ceremonies.
Board members are to be present at 8:30 A.M.
The program will begin at 10 A.M.
The schedule for the program is as follows:
10:00— Senior Choir
10:20 - Power Point—Linda
10:30 - Kids Who Care
10:50 - Heritage Foundation
11:00 - Skit by Grace volunteers
11:10 - Sue
11:20 - Keep Grapevine Beautiful
Cor 11:30 - Historical Society(10 min.)—Diary reading (10 min.) Ted Wilhoit
11:45 - Choir and audience sing America The Beautiful and God Bless America.
The next meeting will be held on July 5, 2002 at 2 P.M. at the Grapevine Senior
Activities Center.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:05 P.M.
