Still a need. Have 4 new volunteers according to Sandra Miller: Number of requests
March-May have gone up. There are plans to improve Senior Mover brochure and go out
to get more help.
There was discussion around question from Bruce of whether on last report were the 12
people each month the same. Eileen believed they were not. Sandra will do request if
someone else is not available.
Report on Dr. Katie Long's, First United Methodist Chruch, Grapevine, Seminar "Together
Again"-Eileen Hinson
Program that was dear to Linda Gregory's heart. It was a one day program about parents
becoming dependent on children as they become more mature.

Twenty-nine people signed up and 22 people attended. Went over 10 strategies and
emotional issues for children and parents
Eileen is also in talks with Zanda Hilger, connection suggested by Tena Burrell,to set up
future seminars for Caregivers.
Bruce started a discussion of senior resources when he asked if SAC has Assisted Living
Referrals. Eileen talked about a senior tour they take. Martie also mentioned a website
www.familycaregiversonline.com that Zanda Hilger is very familiar with and can talk
about that when she comes out too.
6. Other issues:
GRACE housing still has waiting list.
Bruce asked Eileen if the Board can help during the transition without a full time
Director. The Newsletter is an issue because SAC needs a new computer program that is
more efficient versus PageMaker.
Friends of the Grapevine Activities Center update requested by Edith. Eileen gave us an
(ir update. Discussion led to talk about how programs at SAC are set to appeal to a full
range of seniors from 55+on.
7. The next meeting will be on August 5, 2005.
