AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, APPROPRIATING $101,879.10
FROM THE GENERAL FUND FISCAL YEAR 2017
UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE FOR A SOLE
SOURCE PURCHASE OF STRYKER PRO POWER
AMBULANCE COTS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is a local government in the State of
Texas and as such is empowered by Texas Local Government Code Chapter 252,
Subchapter B, § 252.022. General Exemptions (a)(7)(A) to purchase Stryker Pro Power
ambulance cots on a sole source basis; and
WHEREAS, The Fire Department has a need to upgrade current Stryker
ambulance cots due to age of equipment; and
WHEREAS, funding is available from the unallocated General Fund Fiscal Year
2017 unappropriated fund balance; and
WHEREAS, all constitutional and statutory prerequisites for the approval of this
r..- ordinance have been met, including but not limited to the Open Meetings Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems the adoption of this ordinance to be in the best
interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated hereinabove are found to be true and correct
and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby appropriates the funding.
Section 3. That the City Council hereby authorizes an amount of $101,879.10
to be appropriated; and
Section 4. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the purchase of said Stryker Pro Power ambulance cots and
warranty.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 20th day of June, 2017.
