The Board was presented with information concerning the proposed Section Eight Voucher Reform Act (H.R. 1851) (SEVRA). There were several areas of concern with the proposed change, which would affect our clients and our agency. The area of most concern was in regard to portability. SEVRA would require housing agencies to absorb current ports being administered and all new ports moving into our jurisdiction. This would ultimately result in no applicants being housed from our waiting list. The Board requested more information regarding the committee members and when the bill will be on the calendar. Once this information has been accumulated letters will be sent out stating our cause. No action taken Item #3 Report from the Resident Advisory Board meeting held April 19, 2007.
