CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Buckner called the meeting to order and administered
the Oath of Truth to applicant Doil Dalton.
Chairman Buckner then explained that the applicant was re-
questing a 15 foot rear yard variance on Lot N, Block E, of
the Starr Addition (323 West Northwest Highway).
Mr. Dalton explained that he needed the variance for construc-
tion of an accessory building. He commented that if a rear
yard of 15 feet was required behind the accessory building,
full utilization of the property would be impossible. He
further explained that the 15 feet would be wasted space,
difficult to maintain,- and would leave virtually no parking
or motor area in the front of the proposed building.
Mr. Guy informed the Board that he had not received any
correspondence from neighboring property owners regarding the
application.
There was then a lengthy discussion relative to City ease-
ments, location of sewer lines, and the type construction of
the requested building.
There being no further discussion, Vice Chairman Jesse Woods
made a motion that a thirteen foot (13') variance, in accor-
dance with the building permit application, be granted. The
motion was seconded by Member Gerald Thompson and prevailed
by the following vote:
Ayes : Buckner, Woods, Spencer, & Thompson
Nays : None
Absent: Cox, Lamb, & Wright
CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES

Adjustments to consider the minutes of June 4, 1981.

two be amended to read as follows: "Member Jesse Woods sug-
gested that the topography of the area might be a major con-
sideration and, in some cases, should be shown in the building
permit application as an attachment. He also suggested that
the Building Inspection Department devise a method of being
certain that a structure is being built in accordance with
the site plan attached to the building permit application."
Vice Chairman Jesse Woods then made a motion to approve the
