The next order of business was consideration of BZA Application
77-4 submitted by Mr. and Mrs. Dale Fleegle.
The nature of the variance was explained by Building Official
Joe Lipscomb.
Mr. and Mrs. Fleegle then explained that they wanted to
delete the requested fence in the front yard and connect
the northwest corner of the house to the existing garden
fence.- They also explained that they intended to connect
to their neighbor's fence at a point where it would be 4 foot
6 inches high somewhere west of their southeast property
corner.
A somewhat complex discussion of the application followed.
Conrad Heede made a motion to approve BZA Application 77-4
to construct a chain link fence approximately 4 foot 6 inches
on the east property line, as shown on the exhibit, with the
modification that the fence would connect to the northeast
corner of the house instead of across the front yard. The
motion was seconded by James Buckner.
Ayes: Woods, Heede, Buckner and Spencer

I
The next order of business was consideration of the minutes
of April 18, 1977.
Conrad Heede stated that he felt that the paragraph concern-
ing recommendation for appointments to the Board of Adjustments
did not accurately reflect the discussion of that matter.
A detailed discussion of the paragraph and proposed corrections
followed.
Conrad Heede made a motion to approve the minutes with the
following correction to the paragraph in question:
The next order of business was for the Board
of Zoning Adjustments to consider recommen-
dations concerning Board appointments to the
City Council-. Board members agreed that
those recommendations should be determined
by the Chairman after informal consultation
with members, rather than being discussed in
the presence of Board Members who were
candidates for reappointment.
The motion was seconded by Jesse Woods.
Ayes: Heede, Woods, Spencer and Buckner
Nays: None
Conrad Heede then made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
The motion was seconded by James Buckner.
Ayes: Woods, Heede, Buckner, and Spencer
PASSED AND APPROVED on this the day of 1977.
