A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR
THE REIMBURSEMENT OF THE WESTPORT PARKWAY
AND STONE MYERS SIGNAL ADVANCE FROM THE
GATEHOUSE; AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES FOR THE
PERFORMANCE OF SAID WORK; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine and The Gatehouse entered into a City/Owner
Agreement on March 7, 2017 for The Gatehouse to advance the City $150,000.00 to
expedite the design and construction of the traffic signal at Westport Parkway and Stone
Myers Parkway; and
WHEREAS, representatives of The Gatehouse posted $150,000.00 with the City
on March 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, funding has been identified in the Capital Streets Projects fund
balance and is available to refund $150,000.00 to The Gatehouse; and
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites for the adoption of this resolution have been
met, including but not limited to the Local Government Code and the Open Meetings Act;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby declares that the approval of this resolution is
in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated hereinabove are found to be true and correct
and are incorporated herein by reference as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine hereby approves the
reimbursement of the $150,000.00 posted for the traffic signal installation at Westport
Parkway and Stone Myers Parkway to representatives of The Gatehouse, and
authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute any documents necessary to
proceed.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 19th day of September, 2017.
