CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ron Cook at 9:30 AM.
Tommy Hardy, Director of Community Development, explained the purpose of the
meeting was to tour, as a group, the South State Highway 121 Corridor Study Area
to view properties addressed by the ongoing study.
The group then boarded the van to begin their mobile workshop tour proceeding to the
State Highway 121 access road. The tour route began at the northwest point of the
corridor study at Mustang Drive, then proceeded south to Glade Road, and back north
on the east access road to State Highway 360. Frequent stops were made at
individual tracts to address the current land use, noise level proximity from the
freeway to residential areas, and current zoning. The tour then headed southeast on
Highway 360 to Glade Road and back north to point of beginning.
Discussions were led by Tommy Hardy, Director of Community Development, to
individually address each tract of land covered by the study to determine if any land
use change should be proposed.
