CALL TO ORDER
OATH OF OFFICE
1. New board members, Kristen Turns and Tannetje' Crocker, and returning board members, Nancy
Snyder and Kristina Valentine, to receive oath of office.
CITIZEN COMMENTS
2. Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Animal Shelter Advisory
Committee under Citizen Comments by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form. In
accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Committee is restricted in discussing or taking
action during Citizen Comments.
NEW BUSINESS
3. Consider the minutes of the March 22, 2017 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting.
4. Proposed ordinances update.
5. Review of shelter statistics for the quarter and fiscal year.
6. General shelter updates.
7. Events information.

The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on the 251h day
of October, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Training Room of PD, 1007 Ira E. Woods, Grapevine, Texas 76051, with the
following members present to -wit:
Dr. Tannetje' Crocker Member, Veterinarian
Lt. Larry Hallmark Chair, Grapevine Police Department
Joy Mayo Member, Grapevine Citizen
Nancy Snyder Member, Grapevine Citizen
Kristan Turns Member, Animal Welfare Representative
Kristina Valentine Member, Grapevine Animal Services
constituting a quorum, with member Dr. Jason Steinle absent and the following liaison present:
Duff O'Dell, Grapevine City Council
CALL TO ORDER
Lt. Hallmark called the meeting to order at 1:42 p.m.
ITEM 1. OATH OF OFFICE
The Oath of Office was issued by Chief Hamlin of Grapevine PD to Tannetje Crocker, Nancy Snyder, Kristen
Turns, and Kristina Valentine
ITEM 2. CITIZEN COMMENTS
No citizen comments.
ITEM &CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
The Committee was provided a copy of the March 22, 2017 meeting minutes. Joy Mayo made a motion to
approve the minutes, and Kristen Turns seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Turns, Valentine
Nays: None
ITEM 4. PROPOSED ORDINANCE UPDATE
A portion of animal ordinances, as related to Parks and Dog Park, was presented to Parks Advisory Board in
June 2017. Animal ordinances to be presented to City Council on 12/5/17.

ITEM 6. GENERAL SHELTER UPDATES
■ Neva Perez has been hired as an Animal Services Officer. Start date 10/30/17.
■ The bond election, Proposition A, allowing for renovation and expansion of the shelter is on 11/7/17.
■ Facebook followers are over 7,000. Using Twitter as well.
ITEM 7. EVENTS INFORMATION
■ Microchip Clinic 10/28—free to pets in costume. Hosted by Subaru
■ Adoption event 11/4. Hosted by Hilton DFW Lakes
■ Vaccine clinic 11/11.
■ PAWS by Reading 11/20. Service center
■ 2018 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee dates were chosen -3/7/18, 6/6/18, 9/5/18, 12/5/18
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Nancy Snyder offered a motion to adjourn the
meeting at 2:54 p.m. and Joy Mayo seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Turns, Valentine
Nays: None
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 13' day of December 2017.
