WAS PREPARED AND POSTED ON i DAY OF OCTOBER, ... , 00 1-1 - CO T WILLIAMS UIL ING OFFICIAL/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR V LOPMENT SERVICES STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT CITY OF GRAPEVINE The Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Grapevine, Texas, met in regular session, Monday evening, November 1, 1999, at 6:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, 200 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present: Carl Hecht Ery Meyer Dennis Luers Ron Cook Kip Bruner Jim Kelso Chairman Vice -Chairman Secretary Member 1 st Alternate 2nd Alternate constituting a quorum with Member Russell Anderson absent. Also present was the following City Staff: Scott Williams Building Official Gerrie Anderson Secretary Chairman Carl Hecht called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. OLD BUSINESS First for the Board of Zoning Adjustment to consider were the minutes of the September 13, 1999, meeting which were tabled at the October 4 1999, meeting. Ery Meyer made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 13, 1999, meeting. Kip Bruner seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hecht, Meyer, Luers, Cook, Bruner Nays: None Absent: Anderson Board of Zoning Adjustment 11/01/99 NEW BUSINESS I ; IOTA 1,014 IX61 lumaim ARCHITEXAS The first item of business was for the Board of Zoning Adjustment to consider BZA99-14 submitted by ArchiTexas for property located at 308 S. Main Street, platted as Lots 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, Block 1, City of Grapevine. The following request was to Grapevine Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance 82-73: Section 54, Masonry Requirements. Mr. Williams explained that the applicant requested that the Board accept their request to withdraw the case, as the current design complied with the masonry requirements. With no one else to speak regarding the case, Kip Bruner made a motion to close the public hearing. Ery Meyer seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hecht, Meyer, Luers, Cook, Bruner Nays: None Absent.- Anderson Dennis Luers then made a motion to accept the applicant's request to withdraw BZA99-14. Ery Meyer seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hecht, Meyer, Luers, Cook, Bruner Nays: None Absent- Anderson 1,111711 AVE., TERRY CUNNINGHAM The next item was for the Board of Zoning Adjustment to consider BZA99-20, submitted by Terry Cunningham for property located at 2115 Ira E. Woods Avenue, platted as Lot 2, Block 1, DFW Business Park. The following request was to Grapevine Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance 82-73: Section 53, Landscaping Regulations. 0 Board of Zoning Adjustment 11/01/99 Mr. Williams explained that the applicant requested that the Board accept their request to withdraw the case. He explained that since the City Council denied the application for a conditional use permit for an automotive tire store, the variances requested were no longer needed. With no one to speak concerning the case, Ron Cook made a motion to close the public hearing. Dennis Luers seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hecht, Meyer, Luers, Cook, Bruner Nays: None Absent: Anderson Kip Bruner made a motion to accept the applicant's request to withdraw BZA99- 20. Ron Cook seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hecht, Meyer, Luers, Cook, Bruner Nays: None Absent: Anderson MINUTES Next the Board of Zoning Adjustment considered the minutes of the October 4, 1999, meeting. Ery Meyer made a motion to accept the minutes, as written, of the October 4, 1999, meeting. Ron Cook seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hecht, Meyer, Luers, Cook, Bruner Nays: None Absent: Anderson Mr. Williams updated the Board on new construction, Golden Corral located on William D. Tate Avenue, between Taco Bell and Towne Center, and Colter's BBQ adjacent to Bass Pro. Mr. Williams noted that no formal submittal had been received by Opryland. He said they were still in the planning stages. Mr. Williams also answered questions regarding the masonry on the rear of the Palace Theatre. He explained that the City Council had decided to reduce the K Board of Zoning Adjustment 11/01/99 amount of sheet metal and employ enough clay tile/masonry to meet the ordinance requirements. With no further discussion, Ron Cook made a motion to adjourn. Ery Meyer seconded the motion which prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Hecht, Meyer, Luers, Cook, Bruner Nays: None Absent: Anderson The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 P.M.
