RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval of a resolution for an annual contract for various street
signs and traffic control equipment from Consolidated Traffic Controls through an interlocal
agreement with Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC).
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are budgeted in account 174-43301-415-093 (PCMF-Transportation) and upon

BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this annual contract is for items commonly purchased on an annual basis
to maintain the traffic signal systems throughout the city. These items include but are not

software.
Bids were taken by the Cooperative and a contract was awarded to Consolidated Traffic

These purchases will be made in accordance with an existing interlocal agreement with
Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) as allowed by Texas Local Government Code,
Chapter 271 and Texas Government Code, Chapter 791. This contract is for an initial one-
