BACKGROUND INFORMATION Special Use Request S000-15 was approved at the October 17, 2000, Council meeting and allowed for the placement of telecommunications equipment on the rooftop of the existing DFW Hilton Hotel. The equipment was slated to be housed in the existing rooftop penthouse and the antennae would be sled mounted on the top of the penthouse. With this request the applicant proposes to establish a new lease area within an existing rooftop shelter of the existing south tower of the DFW Hilton Hotel. The shelter will house the accessory equipment which will be used in conjunction with seven proposed microwave dishes mounted on tripods on the roof of the penthouse.
