This letter confirms on February 18, 2018 Historic Preservation staff approved
with conditions #CA18-21 for the property addressed 528 South Dooley Street,
legally known as Block 29, Let 4, original Town of Grapevine. The following was
approved on this certificate of,Appropriateness:
1. Design concept plan for side yard patio on south side of existing
residence to include freestanding outdoor grill unit with projecting roof
and an outdoor fireplace;
. Prefabricated metal firebox for new outdoor fireplace and chimney;
. Brick sample for new brick outdoor fireplace and chimney;
4. replace non-original front door with new wood front door;
as per the attached plans, elevations, samples, and specifications with the
condition that additional details be provided to Historic Preservation Staff of
the outdoor fireplace, chimney and freestanding grill unit and a permit is
obtained from the wilding Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not ars approved Building permit
and a permit Is, is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 8171-410-3165 for information regarding permits.

1. Replace front door with new door. See attached drawing. Door will be as shown
in picture, except there will not be a shelf.
2. Add Outside Fireplace at Uncovered Patio — Located next to the new structure
a. See attached side elevation
b. See attached Isokern drawing showing the tapered look of the fireplace
c. Fireplace will be bricked with a closely matching brick to the existing
home. See attached picture. The picture shows the color only. The brick
will be vertically scored like the existing brick on the home. See sample
included.
3. Add Outside Kitchen at Uncovered Patio
a. See attached side elevation
b. Kitchen surround will be the same brick used on the outside fireplace.
c. Shed roof over the kitchen will match the roof of the house.
