CALL TO ORDER
CITIZEN COMMENTS
Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Animal Shelter Advisory
Committee under Citizen Comments by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form. In
accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Committee is restricted in discussing or taking
action during Citizen Comments.
NEW BUSINESS
2. Consider the minutes of the December 13, 2017 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting.
3. Review of shelter statistics for the quarter.
4. General shelter updates and event information.

The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on the 7th day
of March, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Training Room of FD, 1007 Ira E. Woods, Grapevine, Texas 76051, with the
following members present to -wit:
Dr. Tannetje' Crocker
Member, Veterinarian
Lt. Larry Hallmark
Chair, Grapevine Police Department
Joy Mayo
Member, Grapevine Citizen
Nancy Snyder
Member, Grapevine Citizen
Kristan Turns
Member, Animal Welfare Representative

CALL TO ORDER
Lt. Hallmark called the meeting to order at 1:34 p.m.
ITEM 1. CITIZEN COMMENTS
No citizen comments.
ITEM 2.CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
The Committee was provided a copy of the December 1311, 2017 meeting minutes. Joy Mayo made a motion to
approve the minutes, and Tannetje' Crocker seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Turns, Valentine
Nays: None

ITEM 5. GENERAL SHELTER UPDATES AND EVENTS
• Running promotional information about microchipping
• Final selection for the shelter architect firm in progress -7 firms submitted info, team is evaluating and
planning interviews with the best candidates.
• PetSmart Adoption Center in Southlake is under contract and we are preparing for occupation sometime
at the end of March
Facebook followers 7,400, information also shared on NextDoor and Twitter
• Past Events—Vaccine clinic (1/20)-64 vaccinated
• Upcoming Events -2018 Vaccine Clinic dates are 3/31, 5/19, 7/14, 9/8, 11/3; PAWS by Reading 3/12;
First Methodist Blessing of the Pets 3/18; Subaru Adoption Event 3/24; Next ASAC Meeting 6/6
