This letter confirms on February 26, 2018 the Historic Preservation Commission Pproved
with conditions #CA1 for the property addressed 428 East Fall Street, legally described
as Lot: 6R, G.E. Durst Subdivision, City of Grapevine Texas. The following was approved on
this Certificate of Appropriateness:
1. Construct new Land dug, concrete perimeter wall with footing and interior pier
foundation beneath the 1903 Historic Blevins Mouse;
. Remove existing overlay metal siding from exterior of house and restore or
replace wood siding, trim and details as necessary to match original appearance
of house;
3. Install wood tapered Doric style columns to match original appearance of house
to support the existing wrap-around front porch;
4. Reconstruct the rear porch, removed from the house during the move, to match
original appearance of the house;
as per attached plans with the condition a building permit be obtained from the
Building Department; and all exterior materials, windows, doors and door hardware,
light fixture and paint colors be staff approved under a separate Certificate(s) of
Appropriateness.
