CALL TO ORDER
CITIZEN COMMENTS
1. Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Animal Shelter Advisory
Committee under Citizen Comments by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form. In
accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Committee is restricted in discussing or taking
action during Citizen Comments.
NEW BUSINESS
2. Consider the minutes of the March 7, 2018 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting.
3. Review of shelter statistics for the quarter.
4. Update on new facility process—Chief Michael Hamlin
4. General shelter updates and event information.

The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on the 6th day
of June, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the CID Conference Room, 1007 Ira E. Woods, Grapevine, Texas 76051, with the
following members present to -wit:

Lt. Hallmark called the meeting to order at 1:38 p.m.

The Committee was provided a copy of the March 7h , 2018 meeting minutes. Kristan Turns made a motion to
approve the minutes, and Tannetje' Crocker seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Turns, Valentine
Nays: None

ITEM 5. GENERAL SHELTER UPDATES AND EVENTS.
• No date set for fee schedule/ordinance approval. Receiving feedback.
• PetSmart adoptions to date: 30—no returns so far
• Pet ID Week was April 16-20: chipped 87 animals.
• Facebook followers 7,600; information also shared on NextDoor and Twitter
• Past Events—Vaccine clinic 3/31-88 vaccinated and 5/19-72 vaccinated; PAWS by Reading 3/12-
35 kids learning about dog safety/bite prevention; Subaru Adoption Event 3/24; Subaru Microchip Event

• Upcoming Events -2018 Vaccine Clinic dates are 7/14, 9/8, 11/3; PetSmart Adoption Weekend 9/15,
11 /10; Clear the Shelters 8/18; Pet Yoga 9/8, 9/29, 10/13, 10/27; Next ASAC Meeting 9/5
No action was taken by the Committee.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Nancy Snyder offered a motion to adjourn the
meeting at 2:30 p.m. and Joy Mayo seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Turns, Valentine
Nays: None
