Upon arrival the following areas were being prepared/or already prepared: 1.) Underside of beam at gridlines P5/16-17 2.) Bottom of elevated slab at gridlines P8 -P9/15-15.5 3.) Bottom of beam at the corner of column P2/16 4.) Bottom of elevated slab at gridlines P3.5/15.5 5.) Bottom of elevated slab at gridlines P6 -P7/16-17 6.) Bottom of elevated slab at gridlines P5 -P6/16.7-17 7.) Bottom of elevated slab at gridlines P5 -P6/16-16.5 8.) Bottom of beam at gridlines P6/16.4-16.7 The means of preparing these areas included an angle grinder and a demolition hammer. At the time of this observation tapcon screws as required by the field report from Walker Consultants were not yet installed. Attached, are a few pictures of the areas being prepared for upcoming repairs. All pictures are taken from the ground level looking up to the bottom of the second level. The numbers refer to the list above. The tests were performed in general accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, or DOT test methods.
