CALL TO ORDER
CITIZEN COMMENTS
Any person who is not scheduled on the agenda may address the Animal Shelter Advisory
Committee under Citizen Comments by completing a Citizen Appearance Request form. In
accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Committee is restricted in discussing or taking
action during Citizen Comments.
NEW BUSINESS
2. Consider the minutes of the September 8, 2018 Animal Shelter Advisory Committee meeting.
3. Update on new facility.
4. Interlocal sheltering agreement.
5. Animal ordinances and fees.
6. Review of shelter statistics for the quarter and annual overview.
General shelter ops updates and event information.

The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Regular Session on the 5` day
of December, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the PD Training Room, 1007 Ira E. Woods, Grapevine, Texas 76051, with the
following members present to -wit:

CALL TO ORDER,
Lt. Hallmark called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m.
ITEM 1. CITIZEN COMMENTS
No citizen comments.
ITEM 2. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
The Committee was provided a copy of the September 8th, 2018 meeting minutes. Joy Mayo made a motion to
approve the minutes, and Nancy Snyder seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Turns, Valentine
Nays: None
ITEM 3. UPDATE ON NEW FACILITY
Kristina Valentine and Larry Hallmark gave an update on the facility. We are working on the floor plan and site
plan and have a Construction Management firm selected.
ITEM 4. INTERLOCAL SHELTERING AGREEMENT
In order to vacate the current site during construction, we are working on an animal housing agreement with City
of Coppell.
ITEM 5. ANIMAL ORDINANCES AND FEES
Ordinances were approved in November City Council Meeting. Fees to take effect January 1, 2019. We will use
water bill inserts, e-newsletter, and social media channels to update citizens on the new ordinances in effect.

ITEM 9. GENERAL SHELTER UPDATES AND EVENTS
• Facebook followers 10,000+
• Should be receiving another PetSmart Charities grant for adoption numbers at Adoption Center
• Past Events— Vx clinics: 9/8-61; 11/3-76
• Upcoming Events-2019 Vaccine Clinic dates are 1/19, 3/30, 5/18, 7/13, 9/7, 11/2; PetSmart Adoption
Weekend 2/23, 5/18, 9/14, 11/9 Next ASAC Meeting 3/6
No action was taken by the Committee.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Committee, Joy Mayo offered a motion to adjourn the meeting
at 2:35 p.m. and Kristan Turns seconded. Motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Crocker, Hallmark, Mayo, Snyder, Turns, Valentine
Nays: None
