Mitchell, Director of Parks & Recreation CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met January 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Administration Conference Room at The REC of Grapevine, 1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to -wit: MEMBERS LIAISONS Christian Ross Paul Slechta (City Council) Roy Robertson Jorge Rodriguez (GCISD) Ray Harris Annemarie Martin (GHS Student) Joe Luccioni John Dalri Terry Musar Mark Assaad Morgan Nichols Dave Buhr Constituting a quorum with the following members of City staff: Kevin Mitchell, Director Chris Smith, Deputy Director Kathy Nelson, Capital Improvement Projects Manager Cindy Harris, Volunteer Services Liaison The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. A moment of silence was observed. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Roy Robertson and seconded by John Dalri to approve the November 15, 2019 minutes. Motion passed 9-0. Ayes — Christian Ross, Roy Robertson, Ray Harris, Joe Luccioni, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Mark Assaad, Morgan Nichols and Dave Buhr Nays— None Citizen Comments There were no citizen comments. Motion passed 9-0. Ayes — Christian Ross, Roy Robertson, Ray Harris, Joe Luccioni, John Dalri, Terry Musar, Mark Assaad, Morgan Nichols and Dave Buhr Nays — None Presentation: Kathy Nelson gave a presentation over the plans for the Dallas Road Corridor and Cotton Belt Trail extension. PARD Information Items: • A report over athletics, capital projects, lake parks, events, parks maintenance, recreation and volunteerism was given by Kevin Mitchell & Cindy Harris. Miscellaneous Board Items: Student Report — Annemarie Martin gave a report over Dive District Champion, JV soccer, Best Buddies rivalry game and their winter formal. GCISD Report — Jorge Rodriguez gave a report on advanced academics, AP courses/graduation, athletics, lead 2.0 strategic plans, and social media. Adiourn A motion was made by Mark Assaad and seconded by Joe Luccioni to adjourn the meeting at 7:27 p.m. Motion passed 9-0.
