Al?CITY LIMITS EXTENDER
Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Grapevine, Texas , held at its regular meeting place August 15 ,
1924, with the following members present: E. E. Lowe , Mayor;
L. D. Kirkpatrick, J. A. Spinks , J. W. Harrison, Earl Yates,
H. C. Yancy, Aldermen.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
F-1 Council in session on above named date, with all al-
dermen present, a petition signed by C. C. Coleman And 19 others
which is in words and figures as foliwos, came for hearing:
"We, the undersigned inhabitants, qualified to vote for
members of the State Legislature, residing in the territory here-
inafter described adjoining the corporate limits of the City of
Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas , hereby cast our votes in favor
of and express our desire to become a part of the said City of
Grapevine, said above named territory being as follows : College
Heights addition to the Town of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas,
as shown by plat of said addition now on file in the Office of the
County Clerk of Tarrant County, Texas, to which recordation refer-
ence is here made complete description of said addition, and
another tract beginning at the South East corner of the City Limits
of the City of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas , on the H. F.
Saunders place, Thence east about $42 feet to a point directly south
of the Southeast corner of College Heights addition; Thence North
about 1,500 feet to the South East corner of College Heights Addi-
tion; Thence West with the South line of College Heights Addition
about $42 feet; Thence South with the East Corporate line about
1,500 feet to the place of beginning and being about $42 feet out
of the E. Moore Survey in TarrantCounty, Texas. "
It appearing to the Council that the petition is signed
by majority of the qualified voters in said area and that there
is no protest upon file and upon motion of Alderman Spinks second-
ed by Alderman Harrison, the council unanimously voted to grant
said petition. It is therefore ordered by the City Council of
Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas that the above described territory
be annexed and become a part of the corporate limits of the Town of
Grapevine, Tarrant County , Texas and that said order be spread upon
the minutes of the City Council of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas.
This the 15th day of August, A. D. 1924.

The Council in session on above named date with all aldermen pre-
sent a petition signed by H. H. Yancey and 14 others which in words
and figures as follows, came for hearing:
"We the undersigned in habitants, qualified to vote for
members of the Legislature, residing in the Territory hereinafter
described adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Grapevine,
Tarrant County, Texas, hereby cast our votes in favor of and ex-
press our desire to become a part of the said City of Grapevine,
f and territory described as follows: Beginning at a point where
the South line of College Street 'crosses the West line of the
corporate, Thence West to Tom Powell's' Southwest corner; Thence
North to a point 340 feet South of the South line of the Grapevine
and Keller Road; Thence West to a point on line Fifty feet West
of H. H. Yanceyresidence; Thence North to the South line of Keller
Road: Thence ast to the Corporate line of said City of Grapevine ,
Tarrant County, Texas."

It appeing to the Council that the petition is signed
by a majority of the qualified voters in said area and that there
is no protest upon file and upon motion Alderman Harrison Seconded
by Alderman Yancey, the Council unanimously voted to grant said
petition, it is therefore ordered by the City Council of Grapevine,
Tarrant County, Texas that the above described territory be annexed
and become a part of the corporate limits of the Town of Grapevine,
Tarrant County, Texas and that said order be spread upon minutes of
the City Council of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas.
This the 15th day of August, A. D. 1924.

Council in sessions on above named date, with all aldermen present,
a petition signed by Jno. Lemons and 7 others which is in words and
figures as follows, came for hearing:
"We, the undersigned inhabitants qualified to vote for
members of the State Legislature, residing in the territory herein-
after described adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Grape-
vine, Tarrant County, Texas, hereby cast our vote in favor of and
express our desire to become a part of said City of Grapevine, said
named territory being described as follows: Beginning at a point
where the W. line of Berry's Lane crosses Nesh Street (Sometimes
known as Mabry Street) ; Thence South 200 feet to a stake; Thence
west to a point 150 feet west of the west line of Church Street;
Thence North to the line of the Corporation of the City of Grapevine,
Tarrant County, Texas. "
It appearing to the Council that the petition is signed
! by a majority of the qualified voters in said area and that there
is no protest filed and upon motion of Alderman J. A. Spinks
Seconded by Alderman L. D. Kirkpatrick, the Council unanimously
voted to grant said petition. It is therefore ordered by the City
Council of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas that the above des-
cribed territory be annexed and become a part of the corporate
limits of the City of Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas and that
said order be spread upon the minutes of the City of Grapevine,
Tarrant County, Texas.
This the 15th day of August, A. D. 1924.
