SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO RENEW AN ANNUAL CONTRACT RFB #360-
2 11 FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT MARKING MATERIALS
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to consider approval forte renewal of an annual contract RFB #360-2011
with Centerline Supply, Inc. for traffic pavement marking materials.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funds are available in account 174-43301-093-000 (Street Maintenance/Capital
Rep lace mentlTransportation Infrastructure Maintenance) in the estimated amount of
$42,200.
BACKGROUND:
Bids were taken in accordance with the City Purchasing Policy. Formal bids and
advertisements are not required for purchases under $50,000. Eight bid packages were
requested by vendors. Three bids were received.
The purpose o f t his contract is to purchase traffic pavement marking materials on an as-
needed basis by the Traffic Operations Division. Council awarded the contract on
March 15, 2011 for one-year with four, one-year optional renewals. If approved, this will
be for the second renewal option oft e four available.
