There will be a mortar for each shell. No mortars will be reloaded. Product will be loaded the day of the display for weekly shows and there will be no overnight storage at the show site. During July 4th set up there will be overnight build with storage at site while building the show. The display will be attended at all times after loading has begun. In the event of inclement weather all mortars will be covered. Smoking will not be permitted nearer than 50 feet from the discharge area while product is being loaded or prior to the display after the product is loaded. Firing All shells will be fired electrically. All firing will take place a minimum of 75 feet away from the discharge area. The display may be postponed or cancelled if the Operator or CVB or Fire Department personnel (FD) deems that safety is impaired due to unauthorized persons in the secured safety zone, dangers from lightning, other weather- related concerns or any othe,r situation that creates an unsafe condition. The 4isplay will not be resumed until the unsafe condition has been resolved to the i,atisfaction of the CVB, FD and the Operator. Standby emergency services Communication between Operator, CVB and FD will be maintained at all times that product is being loaded, prior to the display The City of Grapevine Fire Department will have emergency staff on duty at the perimeter of the display site during the display. �511'731 Location of fireworks display area — secured safety area The fireworks firing location will have secured area with at least a 600 foot radius from the discharge area to any buildings, spectator areas, vehicle parking areas, boats, or any other damageable exposures. An emergency boat will be positioned outside the secured safety area to maintain the perimeter of 600 feet from an encroachment by spectators or other pleasure boats. In case of emeraencv Where possible, should an emergency arise at or near the discharge area, a cellular telephone will be used to communicate with the Operator, CVB and FID. Telephone numbers for the Operator, CVB and FID will be exchanged before the fireworks display. The Operator will establish a rally point for all personnel to assemble in the case there is an emergency or accident. All personnel working on the display will be assembled at the rally point to account for all personnel in the event of an emergency. In the event of an emergency that occurs away from the display site the FID emergency personnel must communicate with the display Operator by cellular telephone, the FID emergency personnel will identify themselves and give emergency instruction on how to proceed. The Operator, CVB or emergency personnel will have access to all emergency services by telephone and/or radio as well as plans for notifying the public if needed by public address system. The CVB and FID will be briefed with the details by the Operator for the fireworks display. Implementation of emergency procedures will be at the direction of the Operator, CVB and FID. The Operator, CVB and FID will have full authority to stop or cancel the fireworks display in the event of fire, medical emergency, vehicle accident including water vessels, crowd disturbance, and adverse weather conditions. Notification will be by cellular telephone, The Operator and FID will have the ability to initiate and direct perimeter security and rescue vehicles and vessels as needed. GRAPEVINE LAKE EMERGENCY PROCEDUREJ •A Post Show Procedures At the completion of the fireworks display, the discharge site will be allowed to "cool" for a period of approximately 15 minutes. After the cooling period is complete, the technicians will examine the mortars for any fireworks product which failed to ignite. Care must be taken to avoid placing any part of the technician's body over the top of the mortar. If unexploded fireworks are found, the product will be not be removed. The Operator will notify FD and then proceed with firing the shell. The emergency boat will survey the launch area for a distance within the secured safety area for any defective or unexploded fireworks. In the event that such fireworks are found, they will notify Operator. At conclusion with no mortars remaining the site will be cleaned up by Operator. All debris must be picked up and cleaned up. We would stage the shows east and north of the ball field complex near the shoreline. Set up for the July 4t' show would be July 2 & 3 during the day with the fireworks show commencing at 9:30 p.m. on July 4h. Set up for weekly shows would begin at 7 a.m. each Friday and the show will shoot at 9:30 p.m. I will supply you with insurance papers from the contractor.
