Texas state law requires us to obtain a permit from your local municipality, and further requires an inspection of your water heater be performed by a Licensed Plumbing Inspector to ensure it was installed according to state and local-plumbing codes. According to city records, your permit remains open because the water heater has yet to be inspected. A licensed city inspector must visit your home on a date of your choosing to inspect the water heater. Please be aware of the following: ® Your water heater has no manufacturer warranty until it has been inspected * Your insurance company may not cover any POTENTIAL damage associated with an uninspected water heater Some municipalities require that all open permits be closed before allowing the sale of a home to be completed Please contact our permitting department at 214-214-3504 (866-772-6306 after 5:00 PM) or you may email your preferred inspection date to. The permit was issued to Same Day Water Heaters. The contractor has notified us that he has attempted to contact you to have the work inspected. To date the work has still not been inspected. Please be advised that the ordinance adopted by the City of Grapevine requires all work requiring a permit to be inspected. Equipment installation or construction work that does not comply with codes and ordinances can cause damage, injury, and death. Our inspectors look closely to ensure that all codes are met and the installation is safe to the best of their knowledge. Until such time as we issue an inspection approval for your work, we cannot confirm that there are no safety violations.
