QLiarterly Investment Report for 03/31/2019 NEW BUSINESS 2. Consideration of the minutes from the March 28,2019 meeting and take any necessary action. I Consideration and approval of Resolution No. I9-06,to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a contract with Gentry Air Conditioning to purchase two HVAC systems and take any necessary action. 4. Consideration and acceptance of the February 2019 monthly financial statement and take any necessary action. 5. Report by the Ex Officio member of the Senior Advisory Board on the April 2,2019 meeting. Jane tr ,Executive Director State of Texas County of Tarrant City of Grapevine The Board of Commissioners of the Grapevine Housing Authority met in Regular Session on this the 25th day of April 2019 in the Conference Room of the Grapevine Housing Authority, with the following members present to wit: Linda Troeger Bonnie McHugh Karen Rice Ethel Anderson Teri Rhodes -Cantu Chair Vice -Chair Finance Officer Resident Commissioner Commissioner Constituting a quorum, with the following also present: Duff O'Dell Leila Huckeba CITIZENS COMMENTS No Citizen comments. REGULAR MEETING — CALL TO ORDER City Counsel Liaison Public Housing Coordinator Chairperson Troeger called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Item #1 Report of the Executive Director (Informational Only) A. Rent Delinquency and Information Sheet The Public Housing Coordinator reported to the Board on the rent delinquencies, number of empty units, work orders and statistical information for the waiting list for Public Housing through April 25, 2019. B. Capital Funds Report and Work in Progress The Public Housing Coordinator reported to the Board on the current Capital Funds and corresponding projects. C. Report of Public Housing Activity and Issues • GHA held a formal hearing for a resident that had an authorized occupant. The resident will move out May 2, 2019 • Now the foundation has been repaired, the painter came in to touch up the damaged walls and ceiling. They also painted the entire outside of the building. D. Minutes from the Resident Advisory Meetings held March and April 2019 The Board was provided the minutes from the March and April 2019 Resident Advisory Board meetings. The RAB members have started delivering welcome baskets to new residents. In March a member of the Grapevine Fire Department spoke to the residents regarding fire safety. The Grapevine Garden Club came in April to introduce flowers native to the area. She also brought some plants and books which were raffled off after bingo. E. Quarterly Investment Report for March 31 2019 The Public Housing Coordinator presented the Quarterly Investment Report to the Board of Commissioners. She pointed out the amount in reserves and said the Executive Director is identifying projects the funds could be spent on. The Commissioners asked for an update at the next meeting. NEW BUSINESS Item #2 - Consideration of the minutes from the March 28 2019 meeting and take any necessary action The Board was provided the minutes from the March 28, 2019 meeting for approval. Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu moved and Commissioner McHugh seconded to accept the March 28, 2019 minutes as presented. Ayes: McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays: None Abstain: Troeger Motion passed Item #3 - Consideration and acceptance of Resolution No 19-06 approving the Executive Director to enter into a contract with Gentry Air Conditioning to replace two HVAC systems The Board was presented with bids from Gentry Air Conditioning, Berkey's Air Conditioning and Coventry & Gattis Air Conditioning to replace two HVAC systems on Starr Place. Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu moved and Commissioner Anderson seconded to adopt Resolution No. 19-06 to allow the Executive Director to enter into a contract with Gentry Air Conditioning. Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays: None Motion passed Item #4 - Consideration and acceptance of the February 2019 monthly financial statements and take any necessary action. The Board was provided an electronic financial statement for the month of February 2019. Commissioner Rice reviewed the February 2019 financial statements and found them to be acceptable. Commissioner Rice moved and Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu seconded to accept the February 2019 financial statements. Ayes: Troeger, McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays: None Motion passed Item #5 - Report by the Ex Officio member of the Senior Advisory Board on the April 2 2019 meeting Commissioner Rhodes -Cantu updated the Board the Senior Advisory Board meeting completed tax returns during the April 2, 2019 meeting. No action taken. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Rice moved and Commissioner McHugh seconded that the meeting be adjourned. Ayes: McHugh, Rice, Anderson & Rhodes -Cantu Nays: None Motion passed.
