HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 18 - Park AmenitiesMEMOTO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL FROM: BRUNO RUMBELOW, CITY MANAGER MEETING DATE: MAY 21, 2019 SUBJECT: APPROVAL FOR THE PURCHASE OF PARK AMENITIES RECOMMENDATION: City Council to consider the approval for the purchase of park amenities from Landscape Forms, Inc. for the Parks and Recreation Department. FUNDING SOURCE: Funds for this purchase are available in account 174-74015-312-066 (Small Park Amenities) for a total amount not to exceed $38,931. BACKGROUND: This purchase is for park benches, picnic tables and trash receptacles for the Botanical Garden. This purchase will be made in accordance with an existing interlocal agreement with the State of Texas Term Contracts Program as allowed by Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 271 and Texas Government Code, Chapter 791. Bids were taken by the cooperative and a contract was awarded to Landscape Forms, Inc. The Parks and Recreation and Purchasing staff reviewed the contract for departmental specification compliance and pricing and determined that the contract would provide the best product and pricing for meeting the needs of the City.
