HPO David Klempin stated in the Historic District the siding rot may be removed with repairs feathered in to match. Mr. Willis asked about finding the matching wood, the HPO said to check with Leroy Jordan Lumber or Wheat Lumber on Dooley Street and if having a problem matching to contact him to locate. To be careful with all reclaimed items to secure; owners/contractors are responsible to inform all subs to keep original materials secure. The HPO walked Mr. Willis through each of the eight topics on the Historic Structures saying #CA 18-131 had unanimous approval at the December 2018 HPC meeting and Mr. Willis would need to file a Certificate of Appropriateness (#CA) if any changes were to be made from the plans as approved. Mr. Willis said he would remove the vinyl overlay siding and restore the underlying original wood, reconstruct the garage walls, and all doors are to be wood; and construct two new room additions, saying they would take the ceilings up to the roof pitch perhaps one to two feet higher -the HPO said to check with him first. The exterior walls would be opened according to the demolition plan and garage foundation needed as noted on the plans and the roof ridge would need to be higher to come over the top. The HPO noted the house will retain the original street view but the HPO reminded Mr. Willis any changes from the plans would need to come to him for approval and must keep the original look of the house. The HPO said #CA's would be required for all windows, paint colors, porch post design, anything changed on the house down to lighting and door fixtures may be filed on one #CA and any others changes to be on #CA application again. Colby Wood Windows in Wisconsin were mentioned, ALL #CA's require the manufacturer's specification sheets presented with the application Hans Strayer then went over the Building Department Pre -Constructions Checklist with Mr. Willis , David Klempin Historic Preservation Officer CITY OF GRAPEVINE HISTORIC TOWNSHIP STRUCTURES PRE -CONSTRUCTION MEETING a2c.ri2i fL.El27/cr PROJECT NAME: U?
